Depending on the assignment, we assess whether:

• The ecological baseline is complete and appropriate for the project

• Survey methods are scientifically sound

• Seasonal and geographical limitations have been considered

• Relevant habitats, species and ecological processes have been adequately addressed

• Direct, indirect and cumulative impacts have been assessed appropriately

• Conclusions are supported by the available evidence

• Project alternatives have been considered sufficiently

• Mitigation, compensation and monitoring measures are practical and effective

• Uncertainties and remaining ecological risks are clearly described

• Additional research or measures are required
